LOSING A LOVED ONE

Losing someone we love is a devastating period. The enormous amount of grief we feel can seem like it will last a lifetime. The truth of the matter is that the grief will last a lifetime; but the way it will feel will be different as time passes on.
The load of what grief places on us will lessen and we can start breathing and living again…loving again for some. Periods of remembrance will bring a downpour of tears but over time we learn that this is part of living, and those periods will come repeatedly. It is during these times that we are learning to let go.
For some, death of a loved one is something he or she has never thought about and what they may feel when that person is no longer with them. There is no preparation of feelings per se…but you can start to envision this part of life and start connecting spiritually as this will provide you the tools to learn how to maneuver through tragic times such as this.
Seek out support systems that will help you through this process before, during and even after this type of experience and the planning that takes place.
